Plasma Surface Treatment

Plasma surface treatment involves ionizing a gas into plasma by applying sufficient energy. The “active” components of plasma include ions, electrons, atoms, and reactive species. By utilizing the properties of these active components, plasma treatment modifies the surface of a material to achieve purposes such as cleaning, surface activation, modification, etching, and other functional improvements.
