Flow Monitoring
Nordson ASYMTEK’s patented Flow Monitoring option measures the applied volume of conformal coating material to enhance yield and provide traceability
The Flow Monitoring option measures the volume of material dispensed on a product against an established target. Measuring points, target values, and process limits are defined within a program. Flow monitoring provides programmers with the ability to capture these parameters and receive a confirmation that products have been coated with the correct amount of material with a resolution of ± 0.05 cc. When a dispensed volume is outside the defined process limits, the system triggers an alarm condition which allows the operator to make adjustments to prevent potential defective products.
Nordson ASYMTEK’s EasyCoat® software logs the data to a log file and database. The data is displayed on the computer screen in bar graph format with time history. Process data can be exchanged with a customer-specific Factory Information System (FIS).
Stainless steel construction ensures the Flow Monitor module is compatible with all conformal coating materials.
The Flow Monitoring option is designed for use with Nordson ASYMTEK’s Select Coat® conformal coating systems that can be equipped with any of Nordson ASYMTEK’s conformal coating applicators.
